Established in 1954, the medical center for rheumatism is listed under the preservation of sites of historic interest. The vacated building has been developed into 11 sun-drenched lofts with a floor space of 150 m² to 300 m². Most are equipped with terraces, balconies or a garden.

Transformation and Utilization

At the beginning of the planning stage, the medical center for rheumatism was in a desolate condition after sitting vacant since the beginning of the 1990s. The ground plans haven’t been contemporary. Under the preservation of sites of historic interest, the old building was gutted and carfully refurbished. This resulted in 11 studios for artists to live and work. The current occupiers are international artists and freelancers.

Location

The Löwestrasse is located between Karl-Marx-Allee and Volkspark Friedrichshain. The street is designated as a quiet 30 km/h service road.
